Personal Protective Equipment Safety Training Reduces Workers' Compensation Injuries

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration estimates that each prevented injury or illness resulting in lost time from work would save $28,000 and each avoided serious injury or illness would save $7,000. Personal Protective Equipment and safety training are crucial to preventing costly and demoralizing accidents.

Still not convinced? The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates 1,000 eye injuries occur each day on the job costing more than $300 million a year in lost production time, medical expenses and worker's compensation.   The BLS also reported   there are over 220,000 hand and finger injuries causing lost time each year.
